Some Guidelines For You

Here’s your golden opportunity to have complete control over the journal of your dreams.  Everything from choosing the paper for the eight different sections, to uploading your own photo for the cover!

You can have all the pages white ruled, or have checklists, and music paper.  The choice is yours.  Make your selections, add them to the cart, and expect the finished journal delivered to your door within 10 days.  You can’t get that in a bookstore.  Begin your journey to the perfect journal below.  Makes a great gift for any occasion including the upcoming holiday season.

Steps for creating a White Butterfly Journal

I. For the Cover

You have three options:

• Decorative Paper
• Photo Cover
• Upload a Photo.

When choosing your own photo please keep in mind…

• The picture will be cropped to fit the 6″ x 9″ vertical format.
• About 1/4″ on all four sides will be wrapped around the cover material so try to avoid putting your main subject right up to the edge.
• The image may be distorted if you try to single out one person from a group photo, or if you crop for just the face or an element in the picture.
• Please send a .jpg, .png, or a .tif file for best results.
• If you upload a horizontal picture it will be sideways on the journal with the left-side down.
• Please do not submit screenshots or images that you do not have permission to reproduce.

II. Select Your Paper (each section has 20 pages)

• • Blank
    Ideal for sketching, scrapbooking on a smaller, more portable scale; creative ideas, photographs, keepsakes, or any project where you prefer an open page.
  • White Ruled
    Perfect for family recipes, notes, to-do lists, planning, record-keeping, and everyday writing.
  • Ivory Ruled
    A warm traditional choice for personal journaling, reflections, memories, poetry, and special thoughts you would like to preserve.
  • Checklists (see photo for an example)
    A line with a checkbox in front.  Perfect for lists, chores, to-do’s, or keeping track of movies to see, books to read, etc..
  • Graph Paper
    Blue lined graph paper for designing and formulating your ideas
  • Dot Graph Paper
    This paper is right between blank and light grey points.  Perfect for drawing and planning.  It also makes designs easier to see.
  • Music Paper 
    Great for composing that song you’ve had rattling in your head for so long.    Compose on the go.  Eight staffs per page (vertically).

III. Pick Out a Bookmark (optional)

The ribbons are 5/8″ wide, come in 4 colors:

• Red
• Green
• Light Gold
• Royal Blue
  

I’ve included a picture with examples

For a personalized bookmark I have three options:

• Gold lettering on navy blue ribbon
• Gold lettering on red ribbon
• Black lettering on beige ribbon

Those are 1/2″ wide, and are an additional $2.

Add a name or a message up to 25 letters including spaces; anything more will be truncated.

For a monogram, please put the letters in the order you want to see them.

NOTE: If you select the free bookmark option and enter a name, you will receive a plain bookmark in the color you’ve selected.

IV. A Final Word

Since every journal is individually handcrafted according to the choices you made, there can be no refunds or exchanges.  So before placing your order, double check your selections and, if you are getting a personalized bookmark, check your spelling.
